Oh Come On!!!You don’t need any patterned review of Deadpool. You are going to watch it anyways. It’s PR team has left no stone unturned in creating much hype about the movie with pictures like this doing around for a while.

Deadpool commands your presence in the cinema hall and he is the only million dollars franchise hero who throws you out by breaking the fourth wall once the movie ends, (Wait till end credits). Noooooo, he is not a superhero. I mean he is super, but clearly not a hero and he is not here on a mission to save the world. He is indeed a mercenary whose journey from Wade Wilson to Deadpool is solely driven by personal revenge. He doesn’t take himself seriously and no one else does. In fact, it seems that no one takes the film seriously too and you can see that from one of the most unconventional and hilarious opening credits in the movies.
If you are new to the legend of Deadpool, like I was , he is the super villain created by Rob Liefeld and Fabrian Nicieza for Marvel Comics which has gradually evolved into an  anti-hero. You have seen him in X-Men Origins:Wolverine as the mouth-sewn Wade, the mutant killer played by Ryan Reynolds, back then too, activated to murder Wolverine.
He is referred to as “the Deadpool” because the compatible powers of the other mutants have been ‘pooled’ together into one being. But mouth-sewn Deadpool is “No Deadpool” at all. It’s like Salman Khan with  his shirt on( he is legend only for being shirtless) or Oreo biscuits without cream in between or “The Newshour Debate” without Arnab Goswami.
In 2016, Ryan Reynolds has revived the character of Deadpool as originally depicted in the American Comic Series,”A merc with a mouth.” After flunking miserably in earlier Super Heroes genre ; Blade:Trinity and Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds has returned as Deadpool and they both are meant to be with each other. Ryan as Deadpool is like Sylvester Stallone as Rocky or Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, you can’t imagine anyone else for the role.
This time , he is here to bust all the cliches of Super Hero genres by openly mocking them in spite of having a super cliched love story himself. Confused? Only Deadpool can do so.
If you still want to know the plot,it’s a typical love story. There is a reason it has been released on Valentine’s Weekend, it’s not merely a co-incidence.soon-we-will-be-together-deadpool_o_6426625
Yeah, it’st a Super Hero genre with a love story at it’s heart. ,it’s a super cliched ,Boy meets a Girl, they have an affair, a Villain ruins everything and Boy seeks his revenge to get back the girl , story.
Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) after quitting Special Forces Operative is now  a mercenary  , basically a bad guy who makes his living by beating up the worse guys. His life turns upside down into a fairy tale after meeting an escort, Venessa (Morena Baccarin)
in his best friend’s(Tim Miller) bar. After being romantically involved for an year depicted by their love making shown in different seasons, identified by stereotypical costumes and accoutrements from each holiday and different weather outside the window, finally in Christmas times, wearing the horrifyingly awful Christmas sweater , Wade proposes Venessa to which she accepts and Wade’s life seems to be perfect love story for a while before he collapses on the floor only to realize that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Although, Venessa  standing firmly by his side , he fears loosing her and when a recruitment  agent from secret program approaches his with an experimental cure, he agrees to it. After the psycho scientist Ajax’s (Francis Freeman) experiment goes horribly wrong , an accident leaves his face and skin severely disfigured but leaving him immortal in the process. With the soul purpose of hunting down and killing the villain who has ruined his life , he adopts a masked identity of deadpool with the help of his best friend ..errr first thought of as Captain Deadpool and then only Deadpool, to which they crack joke quoting,” Let’s make franchise out of it”.

It’s an extremely simple narrative with little non-linear in the beginning and with almost no sub-plots. There is a hot chick, perhaps , most badass girl of Hero, a comic relief, a psycho villain and two mutant alleys to hero. Passionate direction, extremely witty script , sharp editing and excitingly choreographed action sequence lifts up the film. And , as far as the cast is concerned, every one is there for a specific role and no one takes your screen time for without purpose. It’s a strictly Deadpool movie, as the name suggests…Ahaaa!!!
Then why you need to watch him, because;
  •  he takes a cab that too dressed in red and black suit to reach the place of action,
  •  waits for his enemy over the sky bridge with legs dangling over the sides of bridge,
  • he murders people mercilessly , makes kebabs out of his victims while joking around,
  • is morally fucked up and foul mouthed. Even a face like assholes of other people         (according to shocking first reaction of his best friend on seeing him disfigured) and   mentally crooked up doesn’t make him shut his mouth,
  • constantly breaks the fourth wall as when Colossus handcuffs him to take him  along to the X-Men house and he asks you, “Have you seen 127 hours” and then…no spoilers. He is not  called “merc with a mouth” for    nothing.
  • he openly takes a dig at our first love ,Wolverine and can’t help ourselves ,but smile.
  • there are mutants indeed and their abilities aren’t wasted as Ajax (Ed Skrein), Angel Dust (Gina Carano) Colossus(Stefan Kapičić) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead(Brianna Hildebrand) all get to showoff their powers – and Deadpool’s speedy  sword and gunplay, as well as the Merc’s infamous mouth are given  ample time to shine, kill, and offend.
  • Wilson’s disdain for well-intentioned X-Men hero, Colossus ), and  his  young trainee, Negasonic Teenage Warhead , is an  exceptionally funny gag (and dramatic conflict) ; when Colossus lectures him on the  crucial moment of  choosing to be a hero or a villain, he rips-off Ajax’s head with  bullet before letting Colossus complete. He isn’t a hero like Batman who leaves Joker  alive in the end.
  • After all this , he has a touchy emotional side and this makes us look at him a as human being and not just a fictional character with super powers and his and Venessa’s romance is one of the most rock solid relationships among comic series genre.
  • the film starts with “Mera Joota Hai Japani” the famous Raj Kapoor song which Tim Miller  heard in a pub in New Zealand and couldn’t stop humming after that and the cast too loved it, hence, decided to start the film with this song.

and finally because it’s Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

What else you wish to know about cinematography, sound, script or editing? Ain’t anyone care about it? You too don’t. Go and grab the seat in nearest hall if you still haven’t.

Tadaaaaa!!!
